Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Diablo IV base game to play Vessel of Hatred?
Yes. You must have the Diablo IV base game to experience the Vessel of Hatred content. For new players who don’t already have Diablo IV, you can pre-purchase the Diablo IV Expansion Bundle which includes the base game playable immediately, plus Vessel of Hatred Standard Edition which will become available October 8.
Can I purchase more than one pre-purchase edition? Will I get more rewards?
You will need to purchase Vessel of Hatred once per platform you want to play on. For example, to play on both Xbox and Battle.net you would need to get Vessel of Hatred on each of those platforms separately. You will not get additional rewards for multiple purchases. If you want to upgrade the edition you purchased, upgrades to Deluxe and Ultimate Editions will be available in-game.
How do I equip my instant unlock rewards from pre-purchase?
After purchase, instantly available items will be delivered in-game after next login. Pets can be unlocked in-game then equipped via the Wardrobe, along with the class armor sets. Mounts can be unlocked in-game, then view your mount collection to equip the War-cat Mount.
What Season is the pre-purchase Premium Battle Pass Token for?
This Premium Battle Pass Token can be redeemed for any Season, including the current season if you have not already redeemed a Premium or Accelerated Battle Pass.
Will I experience any updates even if I don’t purchase the expansion?
Yes! There will continue to be base game updates that Seasonal and Eternal characters can access outside of the expansion content.
